About Nicole

Hi, my name is Nicole. I am a married mother of two adult children and a Nana to a granddaughter. I completed my early childhood education training and received my E.C.E. certificate in 1991 at Douglas College. I also have my first aid training. I have spent over 30 years working in various daycare settings. In 1997, I opened Circles Squares & Bears Family Childcare in Mission.

My Philosophy

At Circles Squares & Bears Family Childcare,  I provide a caring, nurturing safe environment for your child. I hope that your child will enjoy participating in the different daily activities that I provide and will learn and grow while he or she is here. I strongly believe that children learn through play. My goal is that your child will develop socially, cognitively and emotionally. I feel that this happens through play. I hope your child will learn to have healthy social relationships with the people around them and learn to inter act with the world around them in an acceptable way. At Circles Squares & Bears Family Childcare, I treat every child respectfully and as an individual. The children are taught to treat one another politely and respectfully. I try to encourage independence. The children wash their own hands, pack up their lunches and when they are able, put on their coats and shoes themselves. It is my ultimate goal for your child to feel safe, comfortable and loved while they are in my care.
